I attended the second night of the World Cafe style discussion forum to discuss the proposed Stadium Project at the High School. This is the information that was presented to all of the attendees on October 3, 2017.

Discussion Areas And Results
The purpose of these tables was to discuss the details of the stadium part of the project. This included the stands, the track, practice field, main field, synthetic turf, and baseball fields. Here is what contributors thought of the stadium project as proposed:
These tables discussed the additional outdoor spaces in the district that would receive funds for outdoor enrichment improvements. Things like playground equipment, maintenance on existing playground space, and new surfaces were included with this section. Here is what people were talking about for this part of the project:
The other topic was for the new indoor space, this aspect of the project has been considered the most controversial. This is for a new indoor space- that would be constructed off of the new stands in the stadium and connecting to the existing high school structure. The indoor space proposed includes office space for the Superintendent and staff, meeting rooms, locker rooms/ changing areas for teams, restrooms, the STEAM lab space, concession stand, and a new space for the 18-21 special education program. Conclusion and Public Comment Section for the Board of Education Meeting
The report aggregating the feedback that was given over the two sessions will be presented at the next Board of Education Meeting, on October 23, 2017 at 7:00 pm at Zane North Elementary School in the All Purpose Room.
