[Community Outreach] CEAG Collecting Food Donations For Collingswood High School’s Panther Pantry

The Collingswood Educational Advocacy Group (CEAG) is soliciting community donations for the Panther Pantry, a food bank run by home economics teacher Wendy Heinekin, designed to offset the food insecurity experienced by economically disadvantaged students, a demographic that accounts for 48% of the CHS population according to the 2016-2017 NJ State Performance Report.

The Pantry needs:

  • Ready to eat canned goods (not requiring a lot of preparation except heat and serve)
  • Carry and go items like granola bars
  • Peanut butter
  • Personal items like toothpaste, deodorant

Donation drop boxes are located:

-Devil’s Creek Brewery (1 Powell Lane)

-The Retrospect Newspaper Office (732 Haddon Ave)

-Cup of Bliss Coffee Company (579 Haddon Ave)
