[Live Stream] Collingswood Board of Education Meeting 5/20/2019
This special meeting was held at the Middle School Auditorium because awards were presented to students, staff, and faculty for achievements and recognition of accomplishments for the 2018-2019 school year. Updates to policies included: Co-Curricular Activities -Revised, Administering an Opioid Antidote – Revised, Gifts, Grants and Donations – Revised.

Highlights of changes made to the Co-Curricular Activities Policy:
A nonpublic school student may participate if:
o The nonpublic school of attendance does not offer an equivalent athletic
activity;
o The nonpublic school student demonstrates that he or she meets the same
academic criteria as a public school student, as evidenced by report cards
from the nonpublic school;
A home schooled student may participate if:
o The parent of the home schooled student has provided written notification of
homeschooled status to the Collingswood Board of Education;
o He or she meets the same academic criteria as a public school student, as
evidenced by reports from a structured homeschooled program or whose
parent signs a statement of assurance that the student meets these
requirements in his or her homeschool program;
o He or she would have been eligible for participation upon the date of
withdrawal from the last public school of attendance, if applicable.
Other Highlights From the Agenda:
- There will be no increase in prices for school lunches
- The board will reject the bid received on May 14, 2019 for the High School Running Track resurfacing. The Bid rejection is listed here.
- The curriculum committee is working to settle on benchmark assessments that will be presented to teachers and the public for a standardized report card/ assessment
